Wish me luck these coming few days.
Tommorrow I go to the dentist with my dreaded wisdom tooth issue and on wednesday (if Im up to it) Ill be having an EEG scan for the reoccurring headaches, neck pain and twitches Ive been having for years. The EEG sounds exciting. The Dentist does not.

I suspect a lot of it is due to poor posture and I tend to sleep curled up in ball which wont help. ive been on migraine medication for a few months and it has helped, but unfortunatly the pills are also sleeping pills (and according to its instructions also prevent bedwetting?!) Sleeping pills are not fun when you get up at 5am so it would be nice to have some other kind of treatment. Something in me hopes the EEG scan will come back saying Im some really col unusual mind freak, but to be honest I think its a bit of an over-kill, I think they just run out of ideas!

they offered me the option of having them taken out today under the needle, or wait a few weeks and have it under sedation. Im a coward - I decided to wait a few weeks!

I have neck pain that is caused by my spine. The human body is a weird thing. Feel better!

I think mine was originally caused by carrying my school bag on that shoulder for 5 years. I damn wish I hadnt for all the trouble my neck has caused me over the years!

I hate dentists, but the EEG does indeed sound exciting.

Well to me, anything having to with the brain sounds exciting. But teeth and dentists--they make me think of the Marathon Man. "Is it safe?" Ouch! Get those sinister implements away from my mouth!

Good luck regardless.

Yes the EEG will be fun, though I suspect they wont find anything wrong. She had asked me to describe my migraine symptoms and I had mentioned I often get involuntary jerking movements and shuddering. She was rather certain that was not to do with migraine and felt it warranted a test. The trouble with an EEG is that it only measures whats going on the brain there and then, so for example, if a person had epilepsy it would read perfectly normal unless the person had a seizure whislt the test was running. So to that ends, I dont see how it can find anything.

Time will tell I guess. Just watch out for that dentist. They're evil sadists, all!
